RYOZAN PARK Montessori provides socially progressive English-language education for children aged 1-7.

Guided by core values such as gentle teaching, learning through play, kindness, and safety, our Montessori Kindergarten, led by an AMI-trained guide, offers a full-time English immersive experience.

Aligned with Association Montessori Internationale standards, our program features an uninterrupted 3-hour work cycle with Montessori materials in practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, and culture.

Additionally, parents can access on-site co-working facilities, and children benefit from a rooftop outdoor space. Visit our website for more information.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion

  • Why we implement DEI in our classrooms

We believe that introducing English and global cultures to preschool-age children through activities and real-life interactions will equip them for an interesting and productive life.

We believe that challenging stereotypes early on can prepare children for the biases they may be confronted with as they grow and provide tools to confront those limitations in future.

We believe that our differences are what make us special and should be celebrated. Introducing this concept to children allows them to accept themselves as well as others.

  • How we implement DEI in our classrooms

Books, art and videos in the classroom feature diverse representations of race, ethnicity, age, gender and physical abilities.

Snacks, holidays and celebrations reflect the different racial or ethnic groups present in the classroom and we study those that are not.

Teachers respond to behaviours uniformly across all genders, races and ethnicities.

Teachers give unbiased answers to questions about gender, race, ethnicity and physical ability.

Teachers should acknowledge, rather than ignore, cultural diversity.

School staff appreciate the differences and similarities between students of different races, ethnicities, genders and physical abilities.

Teachers challenge their own beliefs and opinions regarding diversity, inclusion and equity.

Family Support

Since its inception, Ryozan Park Preschool has been dedicated to providing quality early childhood education in a safe and caring environment, and to supporting the parents and guardians of our students. Our key staff is also mostly comprised of working mothers and we take very seriously our commitment to providing a flexible and supportive environment for them and the parents we serve at preschool.

Easing the pressures of raising small kids in a busy city is at the forefront of our mission. To that end, we continue to offer on-site coworking, workshops, and community activities not only to member parents but also to those in the wider community looking for connection, support and learning.

We offer spaces for new parents to connect with each other and explore new skills and interests, opening up opportunities for personal and professional growth.
